Welcome
Hello All,
The OEHA Northeast District Fall Conference returns October 13–14, 2026, at the Hilton Garden Inn in Twinsburg. This two-day event offers a robust agenda designed specifically for environmental health professionals across the region.
Tuesday, October 13
The conference opens with State Public Health Veterinarian Sara Margrey presenting on “One Health: Beyond Boundaries for Healthier Future.” This keynote session highlights the importance of the "One Health" approach—focusing on the vital connection between healthy animals, a healthy environment, and healthy people. The remainder of the day will feature a variety of specialized sessions for attendees to choose from.
Wednesday, October 14
We begin the day with keynote speakers Don Ackerman and Gino Haynes from "Canton for all People," presenting "Build Ohio Neighborhoods." They will share insights into the impactful work their organization is doing in the City of Canton and discuss their efforts to expand these initiatives into other communities throughout Ohio. The rest of the day will follow with an additional assortment of topics tailored for environmental health professionals.
Attendees can earn up to 6 CEUs per day (for a total of 12 CEUs), with dedicated time built into the schedule for networking, visiting exhibitors, meals, and our awards ceremony. Speaker times and topics are subject to change.
We look forward to seeing all of you this fall!
Sincerely, Sara Cochrane and the NE OEHA Planning Committee
