2019 Cuyahoga County Bed Bug Conference

The Cuyahoga County Board of Health (CCBH), on behalf of the Cuyahoga County Bed Bug Task Force (CCBBTF), would like to make you aware of the 2019 Cuyahoga County Bed Bug Conference.  This year’s conference will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019.

Bed Bugs continue to be a significant problem in residential and business settings throughout the county, the State of Ohio, and the entire country.  There are many misconceptions regarding bed bugs, and more importantly, how to properly and effectively respond to a bed bug related issue.  To help educate the public, business owners, agency representatives, school and community officials, public health workers and others who may be faced with responding to a bed bug complaint or infestation, we are once again hosting our Fall Bed Bug Educational Conference.  The conference provides attendees with a perfect opportunity to learn how to properly identify, prevent, and safely control bed bug infestations.

Attached is a copy of the conference information sheet and agenda.  I have also attached a paper version of the registration form, however, we are asking folks to register electronically if at all possible. There is no additional charge for the electronic registration. Detailed registration information can be found on the CCBBTF website (http://www.cuyahogabedbugs.org/).  Continuing education credits have been approved for social workers (4.5 CEUs), commercial pesticide applicators (5.0 hours total – 4.0 hrs. in category 10A & 1.0 hr. in Core), and approval is pending for registered sanitarians (5.5 CEUs requested).

Education is the single most important factor in preventing and controlling bed bug infestations.  Please help us by posting this information on your website and by forwarding this email to the appropriate employees or associates you feel may benefit from the conference.

Please feel free to contact Tom Barsa, who is our conference coordinator, or myself with any questions about the conference. Tom can be reached at (216)201-2000 ext. 1264 or at tbarsa@ccbh.net.  Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
